Perez Medcare Hospital in Lagos, where singer MohBad was reportedly transported, has issued an official statement regarding the singer’s passing.
The hospital, in a statement posted on its social media accounts on September 27, 2023, confirmed that MohBad was brought to the hospital already deceased.
The hospital also took the opportunity to dispel any misinformation about the singer’s admission to their facility.
The statement included the following excerpt: “The management of Perez Medcare Hospital wishes to clarify the inaccurate and false information circulating on certain social media platforms claiming that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was admitted to our medical facility.
We believe it is essential to state that at approximately 4:30 pm on September 12, 2023, the lifeless body of Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was brought to our medical facility. Our medical team immediately initiated response procedures, and upon evaluation, it was determined that there were no signs of life, including no central or peripheral pulse, no heartbeat, no detectable vital signs, and fixed and dilated pupils
While attempting CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), the medical team noted the presence of rigor mortis, which is the stiffening of certain parts of the body after death. Subsequently, the individuals who had brought him to our facility were informed that it was indeed a BID case (Brought in Dead).
Upon inquiring about the events preceding the emergency, our medical team was informed that the deceased had been under the care of a nurse at home, who had administered injections to him.
“Our team subsequently advised that the body should be transported to the nearest Government Hospital where it could be placed in the morgue.
It is crucial to clarify that Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) was never a patient of Perez Medcare Hospital, and he was never admitted to our hospital at any point in time.
Furthermore, the nurse who was reported to be providing treatment to him at home is not affiliated with Perez Medcare Hospital. Additionally, the circulating video in the media, where the late Mr. Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (AKA Mohbad) appears to be alive and receiving treatment, did not originate from Perez Medcare Hospital.
The passing of Mohbad has given rise to numerous inquiries, and the Nigerian public is seeking answers to these many questions.”
