Below, you can find a statement by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs:
“I have been taken aback by the unexpected passing of our dear brother, former fellow Parliamentarian, and an exemplary patriot within the Elephant family, Mr. Daniel Okyem Aboagye.
Human beings acknowledge death as a sacred passage to eternity, ordained by our Creator. Despite its inevitability, it often leaves behind a trail of sorrow and moments of deep reflection, particularly when a promising mission is seemingly cut short, as in the case of Mr. Okyem Aboagye.”
Okyem, you were a multifaceted individual, a delight to know and collaborate with, particularly in matters related to finance and economics. Your time as a Member of Parliament for the esteemed people of Bantama was marked by your impressive debating skills, leaving a lasting impression.
The pain we feel, the devastation that engulfs us, and the heaviness that burdens us are words that fail to adequately convey the depth of our grief. Both our immediate and extended family are grappling with this profound loss. In this trying moment, we implore the Almighty to grant solace to your departed soul.
Daniel, may your departing spirit continue to guide and fortify us in our noble mission to secure power for the rejuvenation and advancement of Ghana.
