Several Ghanaian stars appeared at Akwaaba Village to rally behind entrepreneur Afua Asantewaa in her quest to set a new record for the longest individual singing marathon.
Notable figures such as Nana Ama McBrown, Sista Afia, Cina Soul, Clemento Suarez, Lawyer Nti, and OB Amponsah have shown significant support for Asantewaa’s initiative.
As of the filing of this report, Afua Asantewaa has accumulated approximately 30 hours of continuous singing in her pursuit to surpass the current Guinness World Singathon record of 105 hours.
A substantial number of Ghanaians have flocked to the venue to show their support for Asantewaa’s world record endeavor, energetically joining in with the musical renditions.
Social media has also witnessed a surge in well-wishers, with notable figures like the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, expressing his support in a post that reads, “Wishing Afua Asantewaa Aduonum all the best as she takes on the challenge of breaking the sing-a-thon record set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare.”

If things go as anticipated, Asantewaa will reach and break the world record on Thursday morning.
